The Tier 4 Visa is an important step in getting a student resident visa for a university in the United Kingdom. One needs the following for the issue of this visa:
1. An unconditional offer of a place or a course with a licensed Tier 4 sponsor. All universities have been given this license. This means you have received a confirmation of acceptance for studies (CAS) from the university.
2. Knowledge of English: This requires that you have taken the IELTS test. Most of the universities in the UK require band, 6, 6.5, 7, or in a rare case 7.5 as evidence (proof) of your English Language Proficiency.
3. Proof that you can support yourself and pay for your course. A bank statement either in your name or in your father/ mother’s name showing enough money is a good proof for this.
i. If you have a tier 4 visa, you can work part-time for not more than 20 hours a week.
ii. Those students who get admission in September 2020, or September 2021, and later and complete their Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in any discipline/subject, or MBA will be able to stay in the UK and work or look for work for 2 years. Those students who successfully complete a PhD degree from a UK university can stay in the UK and work or look for work for 3 years.
